Information Meeting and First Jump!
Posted Wednesday, August 26th, 2009 at 1:11 am by Falling IlliniGreetings and thank you to all of the prospective skydivers who came and talked to me and Hanna on Sunday. With over 1500 new e-mail addresses, I feel it is safe to say that the Falling Illini is once again the most popular booth on Quad Day. We ran out of fliers fairy early in the day, so here is the information about the meeting next week:
Falling Illini Skydiving Club
Fall ‘09 Informational Meeting
Wednesday, September 2nd, 7PM
Loomis Lab Room 151
We will be going over all of the information about types of jumps, prices, and club procedures at that time. If you are unable to make the meeting, there is a lot of information available on our website (fallingillini.org). Now for the exciting part. Our first trip of the year will be this Sunday, August 30th. We will only be offering static line jumps for this weekend. A brief video of some static line jumpers is available here (http://fallingillini.org/archives/614/static-line/). We have limited space, but we will do our best to accommodate as many people as we can. If you would like to go, simply respond to this e-mail with the following information:
Name Phone number
Whether you have a car (and if so, how many people would you be able to drive)
The first people to respond will get to come this weekend, so if you think you might be interested then shoot me an e-mail right away. For everyone else, there will be plenty of other chances to go throughout the semester. As always, if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me. Skydivers are never reluctant to talk about their sport. I hope to see many of you this Sunday and at our meeting next Wednesday.
Blue Skies,
Mike Murphy
